SetPath’s Training Process
At SetPath, there are two groups: Planners & Guides. Planners are young people creating a life plan that ignites and activates them.
Guides are the mentors who help them through the process. That’s why you’re here! You’ll bring your experience and our training to Planners. In our Online Learning Center, we will train you to be a SetPath Guide.
What do I do now? Simply complete the Guiding 101 Course to receive your Guiding 101 Badge. Once you receive your badge, our team will give you access to the in-app Guide Dashboard to ensure you can appropriately facilitate the relationship with your Planner.
Guiding 101 Course
Our Guiding 101 course shows SetPath Guides how to work individually with SetPath Planners to help them navigate the life planning process.
Upon completion of this course, you’ll receive your Guiding 101 Badge and access to our in-app Guide Dashboard.
Module 1: Building Self Awareness
In order to guide others effectively, you must first understand who you are—your strengths, blind spots, and where you may need outside support. This module provides you with the tools to gain a better understanding of yourself, enabling you to support your planner effectively.
Module 2: Practical Tools for SetPath Guides
The Guide Planner Journey is a unique opportunity to invest in the lives of young people. This module will equip you with practical tools such as listening, asking insightful questions, and facilitating clarity and action. All of these tools are designed to assist you in guiding your planners with excellence during the time you spend with them.
Module 3: Best Practices in Life Planning
There are many different routes you can take as a Guide when engaging with your planner. This module will cover best practices in life planning to ensure that your planner has a transformational experience. They shouldn’t just write a good life plan; they should learn how to live it out.
